Yesterday, October 22nd, my fiancé and I went to a Barack Obama concert rally in Leesburg, Virginia. It was rather short notice, but we hopped in the car and set out on the hour and a half drive from Baltimore. It was a cold fall day, but the sun was out. That coupled with the excitement made it feel 10 degrees warmer.
We arrived at Ida Lee Park about 10 minutes after the gates opened, but we were still too late to get a parking space in any of the lots. The lines just to get past security snaked for what seemed like miles. It was like waiting in line for a ride at Disney World x 1000.
The crowd was estimated at 30,000, but I can tell you first hand that it felt like twice that.
