Sarah Palin's own Anchorage Daily News yesterday came out in support of Barack Obama.
Gov. Palin's nomination clearly alters the landscape for Alaskans as we survey this race for the presidency -- but it does not overwhelm all other judgment. The election, after all is said and done, is not about Sarah Palin, and our sober view is that her running mate, Sen. John McCain, is the wrong choice for president at this critical time for our nation.
Sen. Barack Obama, the Democratic nominee, brings far more promise to the office. In a time of grave economic crisis, he displays thoughtful analysis, enlists wise counsel and operates with a cool, steady hand. The same cannot be said of Sen. McCain.

THANK GOD, Anchorage Daily News PROVES LOGIC LIVES IN ALASKA!
1. JUST BECAUSE SHE'S FROM HERE DOES NOT MEAN WE BACK HER. BUT THIS ELECTION WAS AN EYE-OPENER; WE'LL PRESS THE EJECT BUTTON FOR THE GOVERNOR'S SEAT AS SOON AS SHE GETS HOME(SIDE NOTE: "THE DRESS DOES NOT MAKE THE MAN (OR WOMAN, IN THIS CASE)!
2. JOHN MCCAIN THOUGHT BECAUSE HE "SERVED", AMERICA "OWES" HIM THE PRESIDENCY... (SIDE NOTE: MCCAIN NEVER PROVED A BRIGHT STUDENT OR LEADER & COST MILLIONS OF DOLLAR FOR BEING ERRATIC HIS ENTIRE LIFE). WELL, THANKS FOR SERVING, BUT DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH ANY LONGER: THERE ARE SO MANY DESERVING, GRACIOUS AND HUMBLE SERVANTS OF THE NATION IN EVERY HOSPITAL, SCHOOL, BUSINESS, PUBLIC SERVICE AND SO MANY OTHER PLACES. BUT NO TEACHER, FIREFIGHTER, POLICEMAN, MANAGER, CEO, JANITOR OR EMPLOYEE OF ANY LEVEL THINKING THAT AMERICA OWES THEM THE WHITE HOUSE.
TAKE-HOME LESSON FOR POOR MCCAIN: SERVING IN WARS ABROAD IS JUST AS NOBLE AS ANY OTHER PROFESSION IN THE LAND.
