Stop Voting

I was so moved by Michael Seitzman’s article "Sarah Palin Naked", that I made a 8.5"x11" poster and graphic. Download either the Obama logoed or sans-logo non-partisan PDF, print it out, tack it on your office bulletin board, your car window, tape it to the bathroom stall, where ever. Get the word out and let people know that this election really matters.

I wrote to Michael and asked permission to use his words. He replied with:

Hey Donavon, thanks a lot. Glad you liked it. For some reason, that piece caught a lot of traction and has shown up on 38,000 websites thus far. Go ahead and use it, but please only use proceeds for Obama or the Democratic party.

Thanks and will do Michael. And to that end…

Check out the Stop Voting Store on Cafe Press. 100% of the profits (up to the legal limit of $2,300 for the general election) will be donated to Obama for America.

You can also download and print your own 8.5"x11" PDF poster (to print and display) or display the graphic on your blog, Facebook or MySpace page.

Text:

Stop voting for people you want to have a beer with. Stop voting for folksy. Stop voting for people who remind you of your neighbor. Stop voting for the ideologically intransigent, the staggeringly ignorant, and the blazingly incompetent.

Vote for someone smarter than you. Vote for someone who inspires you. Vote for someone who has not only traveled the world but who has also shown a deep understanding and compassion for it. The stakes are real and they're terrifyingly high. This election matters. It matters. It really matters. Let me say that one more time. This. Really. Matters.
