During an interview in Miami earlier this week with Spanish-language station Union Radio, a reporter asked McCain (clearly framed as a question about Spain) whether, if elected, he would receive Prime Minister Zapatero in the White House. McCain answered, "Honestly, I have to analyze our relationships, situations, and priorities, but I can assure you that I will establish closer relationships with our friends, and I will stand up to those who want to harm the United States."
Is McCain declaring Spain a state sponsor of terrorism? Is he adding Spain to the Axis of Evil?
The text below from Spanish news channel that did the interview loosely translates into “You get the sensation that McCain doesn’t know who he was talking about”.
